Uhm.

So it's been...yeah about two years since I've updated this journal. Rounding up. I'm going to say that's a bit sad. However, at the same time, it's quite all right, since no one really reads this anyway. I suppose it's just time for my periodical "alive alert" ... since that does seem to be rather important to some individuals. xP

Anyway, it can be assumed that I must be working on something to have to update this journal at almost three in the morning. I simply couldn't sleep, honest. Now, if my past two deviations didn't command red lights and a blaring siren to activate, well...yes, I have been working on fanart. Avatar fanart, to be exact. And yes, I have become a hopelessly addicted Avatard.

Which will explain the next five deviations, though they won't be coming up anytime soon. Uh...hopefully before 2 July, though. A certain contest has sparked the creative wick on some explosive in my brain, and it just so happens to be Avatar-centered. But! Here's some news: I've learned how to color. And I've learned that coloring just isn't something that can be rushed. So I'm not rushing it. I'm slowing down, making many layers, hoping the shading is okay-ish, et cetera, et cetera. I have learned one definite thing from this process: THE PAIN IN MY WRIST WILL NOT BE GOING AWAY FOR A WHILE. Ugh, carpal tunnel, here I come.

But please. Don't expect anything extravagant. I'm still learning, experimenting, growing. Step by step, right? I'll work on backgrounds when I'm an old old woman, because coloring in general will take forever for me to get down.

With the help of my jukebox friend Ren, I've decided to use Dong Bang Shin Ki's "T" album for this project. It's actually quite amazing -- I didn't know it spanned so many themes in just one album. Ahhh, Korea. How I love you and all of Asia for producing pretty boys who sing... -cough-

Hur hur. It's not news, but I am going insane. Three in the fracking morning and I can't sleep at all because all of a sudden, I've got this energy (and a strengthened wrist?) to complete at least one of these...I've drawn them all, and I'm trying to color them, but ooh, yeah, they do take quite a while.
